It has been a fun season of exploring the spiritual messages of the cinema with all of you this summer. Seaside’s theme this summer has been healing. These films delivered that message beautifully: Black Panther with the dying of the old self and having your greater one rise to the occasion. Patch Adams' message of the healing power of humor. Wild had us take a look at healing grief and forgiving the self in the process, whereas Antwone Fisher had us healing childhood traumas and forgiving others. Green Book stretched many of us with taking an honest look at healing our racial bias. Eat, Pray, Love encouraged us on the healing journey of rediscovering ourselves. Today Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga will take us on a healing musical tour looking at self-worth and alcoholism. ~ In Love, Rev. Christian.
